What is the battery life you get out of it also how much heavier is it? Never been a huge fan of rumble support but would probably pick one up if it did'nt kill the battery too fast.Thanks-

The battery lasts the same as the regular six axis controller. |

From the feel of it I'd say the Dualshock weighs at least twice as much. It's hard to tell though because it seems most of the weight is in the 2 "handles" that you hold in your hand. As for battery life, I've honestly not seen ANY difference.....as weird as it sounds it actually seems to me that the Dualshock has BETTER battery life! That doesn't make any sense considering it uses 300mA vs the sixaxis's 30mA.....but that's been my experience anyway.

Thanks for the knowledge, I will probably pick one up when they hit the States. I'm glad to hear it is noticebly heavier than the original, too light in my opinion, too easy to drop on my hard floor.

Although it might be tempting to pick up a regular sixaxis controller if they are trying to get rid of inventory before the DS3 arrives, I think I've already heard amazon selling for $25

Mine's on the way, so I can't make a comment just yet but I'd heard that it gets about half the battery life.
To those mentioning the battery life though I'm glad to hear that the half battery life statement I'd heard isn't necessarily true. I must ask though, were you only playing games that support rumble, or were you playing some games that don't support it as obviously that would have some effect |

just pick one up when it hits states and if you dont like it, return it.
it feels more solid as if your holding something. battery life isnt the same thats for sure, but you can charge it while you watch a movie. simple. |

It's much heavier than the regular version, but after awhile you get used to it, and if you pick up the regular later on, it feels like nothing in your hand
![]() I'd say the battery life lasts as long as the regular too. FYI, I own two dualshocks, a black and a white one, both imported. |
