i got appleseed ex machina beautiful blu but was lost as apparently this is a sequel to appleseed where is the blu stupid companies release sequels without releasing originals

original wasnt done by Warner it was done by Geneon which in fact is not releasing any dvds at all at the time being

There, you just said it: 'Not an Anime fan'. Well as a fan of Anime, it was pretty damn shoddy. Not that the 2nd one is any masterpiece, but certainly more enjoyable.

I'm a HUGE anime fan and I really liked the first Appleseed movie. It was certainly better than the earlier OAV released under Manga. It wasn't a classic like a Miyazaki film or Macross Plus or even a Shinkai work but it was a great action flick nonetheless.

If you didn't like it you're certainly entitled to your opinion so I won't knock you for it. We're all entitled to have our personal preferences. Human nature being what it is some people will like or dislike things no matter their quality. I have friends who dislike even Cowboy Bebop and Evangelion. I personally can't stand Inu-yasha but I know a lot of people do. To each his own.

I got to preview the blu-ray and it looks excellent. I wasn't a huge fan of the movie, but all in all it was enjoyable.
