Default Close Encounters of the Third Kind with Bookmark

Got my Close Encounters of the Third Kind 30th anniversary version BD, finally watch it last nite, accidentally, I press the Yellow button, come out the Scene Selection screen, and there is BookMark function by pressing Green button, it is playing on PS3, it works, even I pull out the disc, turn of the PS3, the bookmark still there, that mean PS3 200% be able to have bookmark for BD movie, hope SONY will add this function to PS3 in some future update.

That is very interesting. I wonder if that feature is available just on CE3K?

I will experiment next time I watch a BD.

Thanks.

It's on a lot of titles lately, Superbad I believe had it as well. Basically almost all the BD-Java releases.

I'm having a hard time understanding what you're trying to say in this part...

I haden't been to CC for a while, so I decided check things out. Got Close Encounters in the process. Good movie, but was not happy with the PQ. What really suprised me was all the DUD stuff still around. Shelf space was split 50:50 between blu/HD-DVD. (blu had a few more items, but not by much!) There was a huge HD-DVD promotional banner above the whole thing. Customers were picking though the selecton like they diden't even know the format is done in. In a darkned partitioned off space for a home theater demo, there was a floor to top banner advertising the Xbox add-on. I must be living on an island somewhere, but I thought DUD and company were out the door. I know there is stock still to be moved through, but this was at full retail! What's up with CC?

Management at that specific store must not be too swift on the uptake.

When I was buying a good bit of gear at a CC store in Wichita Falls, TX back in the end of January they were removing most of the HD-DVD titles off the floor then.

I think he was saying that since certain movies can do this, Sony should be able to make the PS3 do it for all movies.

Unfortunately, I believe he's mistaken. I think the explanation is something that the way the movies load the player has no ability to change anything inside of their context. So the movie itself has to implement this feature.
