BDP-S300 Firmware Upgrade - Blu-ray Forum

So I just put the disk in and it went all the way through the update. It said DL OK, but the disk never popped out during the upgrade. Is it done upgrading the firmware?

I'm really nervous about taking the disk out since I know when you do it in the middle of the upgrade, it can/will ruin your player.

If it says DL OK you should be alright, mine did the same once.

If I hook my PS3 into my audio via HDMI, will the sound be much different than the fiber optic I am using now?

Also does it go:

from PS3
to receiver
to TV

Did you detect any noticeable difference with the new Firmware installed?

apparently they were waiting for me to upgrade to the 3.7 TWO DAYS AGO before they released this one. i'll let you guys know when i get around to downloading the 3.8 since the next firmware should be released a day later
