Default Received my new Samsung LNT4081F and it needs service already!!

Received my new Samsung LNT4081F this morning, hooked it all up and turned it on. GReen and some red tint was displayed. THere was no blacks. I contacted samsung and they decided it needed to be serviced already. Good thing its under warrenty. I bought it online and hopefully dont have to ship it back to montana...lol. THe samsung guy said it should be easy to fix and all, hopefully hes right. Anybody ever have this issue? I checked all my connections and all is in order. Im just going to be without a tv till its fixed.

How are you hooked up? Component? If it is be sure the blue is tight back there.
HDMI?
Does this happen over the air antenna too?

If the first doesn't work I'm shitting my pants already.
What place did you buy it from? Was it online? Some of those online places send out very shotty products, either pirated or bad UPS carriers. The UPS is known for using very long 2 mile conveyors and kicking around the boxes!

I have it hooked via HDMI. I ordered it through AMazon and was shipped via Yellow Frieght.

Since you ordered it from Amazon, just give them a call and tell them you want a replacement because the product is defective. I wouldn't even call Samsung customer service in this case.

flying babies? I think thats more weird than your green/red problem
Haha I'm messing with you..

Damn thats not a problem that RGB cables have if you don't put in the color.
HDMI being digital either works or it doesn't, there is no inbetween.

Umm I hope it gets fixed, this problem of all the pages I read on the 81 samsung on AVSFORUM has never been reported.
I'm positive they screwed it up during shipping through Freight.
Freight and UPS aren't good for Tvs, only use Fedex and DHL.
Dhl being better as its a family sized personal vehicle/Van and they do like one delivery at a time.
When the dhl guy delivered the TV to me, it was a small van like smaller than those sears vans, or SUVs.

Yikes. I've seen something similar on a Samsung at Fry's. Hopefully this is a common problem that has an easy fix (like changing a jumper? ) as the repair guy says.

enjoy

No, the 81F series uses LED backlighting for improved contrast ratio and LED motion plus to reduce blurring

update: I got in contact with the Samsung authorized repair service in my area today and they are sending someone over to fix it on thursday. They said if they cant fix it here, theyd have to bring it back to their shop which by the looks of the pics I posted, is whats going to happen. I dont think itll be an easy enough repair to do in my bedroom...lol. Hopefully its not a repair dude, but a hot repair gal . THat would almost make up for the brand new broken tv.
