Default My New Subwoofer

Hey all,

I already have a 7.1-channel home theater system downstairs. I like it so much that I am thinking about putting a 5.1 channel surround sound system in my room. Does anybody think that I should place my subwoofer under my bed. Your opinions are greatly appreciated!

Read the main article in this thread. It has a section on subwoofer placement and its interaction with the main speakers.

lol, I wish somebody would donate one of those SVS's to me. You'd have to raise your bed up quite a bit, but with four of them it would be worth it

Closet???? if you're looking for the "feel" from it and not the direct sound, otherwise it's gonna depend on the room layout.

At one time I had an MTX Lolita sub under my couch. They're only like 7 inches tall so that's pretty much what they're designed for.

The effect could be quite.......stimulating. I'd have my girlfriend over to watch a movie and after 10 or 15 minutes sitting on the couch she was ready to go.....if you catch my drift.

Did you see the part in the movie where Howard Stern has the caller sit on her speaker tower? ;-)

Where did you stick your tweeter?

I'm guessing it was under the love seat.
