Default what would cause hdcp compliant issues?

i have a quad core desktop with a nvidia 8500 graphics card. long story short. i bought sonys bdu-x10s hooked it up and played blus with no issues till today. poped in 3:10 to yuma and i got an error about failing to enable hdcp. ran the bd advisor and it failed in the hdcp monitor area. never did that before. so then i put back in potc black pearl and during the previews, error again. software is powerdvd bd edition 7.3. but its a different version than what most of you are using and the patch wont work.

what would cause this issue all of a sudden? things were fine before.
thanks

I know 3:10 to Yuma has issues with PowerDVD Ultra (not sure which version exactly though) so may be the same with the BD version you have. You could try the trial of AnyDVD HD from www.slysoft.com as that will remove HDCP protection (check the forum on slysoft for compatibility with 3:10 to Yuma first)

i have since taken apart my pc. i disconnected everything and put it back together and the hdcp corrected itself. i still dont know why this happened.

yuma is still an issue. i cannot use the mouse or keyboad. i ended up watching it with another player. great movie by the way. so i guess there hasnt been a fix for yuma for powerdvd?

Had this issue before.
Once, a simple restart "fixed" it.
Last time, I had to roll back the graphics driver, reboot, and reinstall the newest driver then reboot again.

No idea what caused it... pissed me off to no end though!

Laptop was designed specifically for Blu-ray... it HAS TO play BDs!

i think the hdcp issue was a fluke. never had an issue before. the only problem is 3:10 to yuma. not being able to play the movie with mouse or keyboard. stays on the main menu. does anyone know if there was ever a fix for this?

I've just been looking at the forums on Slysoft's site and some are saying the latest fix of PowerDVD Ultra will play it but you have to get it off cyberlink while others are using a very convoluted method to play it. They tend to hate PowerDVD over there but they also know all the workarounds to get disks to play
