Default Another Arcade Stick question

Alright I made a post awhile ago about what fighting stick to get for the PS3 for all these fighter games coming out (Street Fighter, and Mortal Kombat), and a few replied with big kudos for the Hori sticks.

I was able to find, and I bought a Hori arcade fighting stick for the PS3, but I got a follow up question.

I notice on the descriptions for the stick, it shows it has turbo functionality programmable for each button. My question is what exactly would you use this for? I mean most fighting game moves are sensative you only want to hit a buttons once, not 20x a second? Would this be maybe for getting quicker jabs out? That is really all I can think I would use a turbo for..

My second question, I remember some old fighter sticks where programmable with macros, are these or are any new one programmable with macros? Those I can see being way more useful in fighters as you could get uppercuts out ontime each time, or a combo in Mortal Kombat remembered and at the press of a button..

The only thing I can think of for a turbo button is maybe Instant Chun-Li Leg Attack Death (ICLAD for short).

As for macros I am not a fan of those. That takes some of the fun out of such games for me...
