looking for an arcade stick for the ps3 - Blu-ray Forum

I was looking at my options for an arcade stick for my ps3
1. madcatz SFIV TE stick right under $300 on ebay
2. madcatz SFIV SE stick around $110+ on ebay
3. Hori real arcade pro 3 around $160 on ebay
4. Arcade in a box custom stick $250+ depending on options and upgrades but wait time is currently 6 to 9 weeks...

I want the TE stick but it's too expensive at this time IMO, the Hori looks good and I read the parts and build are comparable to the TE, then theres the budget SE stick from madcatz, I read it does fine but is made from lower grade parts etc.. I also considered going with the arcade in a box and getting the 360/ps3 setup so I could use it on both systems but the wait time is really long..

Does anyone have any opinions on which one I should get I'm leaning towards the Hori RAP3 for the price and build quality or the arcade in a box.. What do you think?

I'm leaning towards getting one from arcade in the box as well for the ps3, kind of expensive for a ps3/360 one though. Unfornatalety i haven't been able to try the TE or SE SF4 sticks. Right now i just have a Hori EX2 for the 360 and a Hori FS3 for the PS3, they do the job, but i want a higher quality one for www.evo2k.com this year. You might want to try your luck at madcatz's website coming in april, which they indicate the TE will be available again from their website.

I'm so not into fighting games but last week when I went to the store I purchase games from, there was this huge arcade Street Fighter stick as big as a keyboard and with buttons exactly like in arcade centers. So the stuff is out there for those who like it.

All the GameStops around me were sold out of every kind of arcade stick... I decided to build my own, so I've ordered a Sanwa stick and buttons, and a PCB... I already have the tools needed, so I get a nice Sanwa arcade stick for a lot less than the TE.

Alot of people say get the ***** e....but i would just check madkatz they should get it soon...if not go for what u can get.
