Default How Is "21"?

I was surprised to see "21" win the box office battle last week. I was more in shock to see 21 best Leatherheads and Nin's Island on Firday's box office receipt. What is your opinion of the movie? If you have seen it.

I saw it last night, and I really enjoyed it.
Kevin Spacey worked really well with these not-so-famous actors.
I actually got myself into the movie, I was really happy when they won all that money and *SPOILER* got really sad when they lost it

Saw it this weekend, thought it was worth seeing. I doub't anyone expected this to be a phenomenal movie, but if you did you will be pretty dissapointed, As a weekend trip to the movies? It was pretty entertaining.

****POSSIBLE SPOILERS:

This movie is hardly complex, the entire story can be derived from the trailer itself, that doesn't make it at all a bad movie, it just ends up being predictable. The story (based on a true story but twisted for hollywood i'm sure) stars a very likeable main character (guy from across the universe; other boleyn girl) mainly because he has an innocense to him and because a lot of kids can relate to him. The movie starts off pretty solid, with the necessary introductions to the characters and situation.

The second act, while the most entertaining is also overly long. Watching the group of kids succeed and enjoy their new found income is definitely entertaining, but it goes on and on, showing the same scheme and win over and over that it gets a bit tiresome to the point where you just wish something painfully regretful would happen already. Good thing it does, and it gets tense. I wouldn't say this is any sort of thriller but the third act definitely captivates you and has you cheering for who you're supposed to. Watching things go down the toilet is very effective and very well played out, I was just very dissapointed with the wrap up of everything and how it went from a cautionary tale to a typical everything is back to normal and better than ever closing.

All in all I would recommend a viewing if you were intrigued by the commercials and trailers. I would give this movie a 6.5/10 or so.

I love this movie, I had very high expectations for it, and it turned out even better than I hoped it would be.

A Must See!

I'm reading the original book (Bringing Down the House) for this. I'll watch the movie once I'm finished. I'm looking forward to it!

I tend to read books after watching a movie, as I am ALWAYS completely dissatisfied with the recreation. The other way around makes it better for me, I'll enjoy the movie and get a lot more depth from it through the book. Doing that with I am Legend now.
