speaker wire help - Blu-ray Forum

just wondering if anyone can suggest what brand,type of speaker wire i should use for my klipsch rs-52 surround speakers.the wires will be run in the walls and i know you need special wire for that but the only thing the manuel says is to use 16g.price of the speaker wire isn't a issue so any help would be great.

Go to any electrical supplier and get 14/2 or 16/2 in wall wire.
The wire will be 2 conductor wrapped in a plastic that meets building code to run in wall. Most home theater stores that do installs can sell you this also.
Liberty cable sells this in 125 and 250 foot spools.(being an audio cable it is 100% oxygen free copper)

buy all cables/wires from monoprice. cheapest and good quality.

SPT 16/2 is normal lamp wire that will do fine..
IF you want to meet code, and we all do

you need a "plenum" rated cover... the above wire
recommended is only PVC and will not meet fire code
