Skip the monster. If they cannot tell you the gage then you don't want it. Go monoprice. Not only do you know what gage your getting you don't get a case of snake oil with the wire.

Seriously, I think noobies and monster fan boys are the only ones that still buy Monster because they have excellent advertising. I admit, about 10 years ago, I fell into the trap but finally realized that there are comparable if not better cables out there. Best deal and comparable quality would be monoprice.com . If you want to go a slight step up, go with bluejeancables.com . you would probably end up paying slightlly below Monster pricing with bluejeans but at least you could say that you have been educated and became more knowledgeable about cables.

Sorry but I could see through the hype from the begining and have never bought anything from monster and even only a little bit from belkin and the like. I've pretty much bought and used bargin cables at a nearby independent reseller that charged less than the big box retailers. Now even they seem expensive when compared to monoprice. And where I am located, I can order by 6am and pick up after noon M-F if I need 'em in a hurry.

I typically buy all my wires and stuff from monoprice, but I also look at amazon. I have amazon prime so with the 2 day free shipping. It sometimes makes it cheaper...monoprice changes the standard rate when shipping (which is good, cause your not being overcharged for the product)

If they cannot tell you the gage then you don't want it. Go monoprice. Not only do you know what gage your getting you don't get a case of snake oil with the wire.
