Monoprice.com optical - Blu-ray Forum

Anyone using monoprice optical cables? I know we're huge here on them for HDMI, but I need to get a replacement optical, and wondered if I could expect the same quality.

Right now I'm using a Monster from like 7 years ago (URGH!), and it's finally breaking down on me.

I have a lot of Monoprice cables, including optical ones, and I've never had a problem. Good quality and I would highly recommend them.

I'm not, but would in an instant. I bought mine from Amazon for like 5 dollars. My Monster was falling apart, not kidding.

Yeah, mine is... casing is coming apart and it's driving me crazy.

They have a 6 ft. on monoprice for like 3.50.

Well, on mine the covering for the connector came off. The thing is I'm not even rough on my cables. The 5 dollar one was actually better than the Monster one it was replacing.

Yeah, that's what I meant. Sorry about that!

Having a longer cable than the one I have will be a good thing, too. I think the one I have now is like a 3 footer.

I really like Acoustic Research Cables.

I've had a lot of luck getting opened ones from ebay for, like, 6 bucks.

I buy my HDMIs that way too.
