Default sub woofer not detecting in auto calibration in onkyo 805

Hi all,

I have an RM 6880 polk audio satelite speaker system and the onkyo 805.I have connected the front L and R speakers through the subwoofer speaker level inputs.

I know we can connect the sub using the subwoofer out from the receiver but i followed this article from the polk site .Below is the URL and refer to page 18.

http://www.polkaudio.com/downloads/n...er/issue11.pdf

After connecting I did the auto calibration .But the Auto calibration didnt detect the subwoofer. Is this normal If I am connecting the sub by using the speaker level inputs?I dont know whether I am doing the right thing?

If I am running the auto calibration:
1) should I still have to go and change the speaker settings manually?
2) should I need to specify any crossover frequencies?

If that is the case I wanted to know how/where we can go and change the speaker settings in the receiver ( i.e Setting the speakers to LARGE and subwoofer to NO.)

I went into the speaker settings menu but there is an option for subwoofer. If I set the subwoofer to 'NO' then the front is defualted to FULLBAND. But I don't see an option for the speakers to set it LARGE?

Please help me as I am a newbie and sorry if this is a dumb question..

Thanks in Advance
Jingo.
