Default help with onkyo 805

hi everyone.i'm hearing a loud popping noise when listening to movies in dts master hd.i'm using an onkyo 805 and a panny bd30.is there any firmware to fix this problem.i'm worried i'm going to ruin my speakers if this keeps happening.i love both the player and reciever and would hate to have to part with either one.everything is hooked up via hdmi and i am letting the receiver decode the hi def sound codecs.sounds great other than that popping noise.thanks for the help everyone.

I had the same issue with the 705 model I had with DTS tracks. Got the firmware update from Onkyo problem gone. Try emailing Onkyo and they might email it to you to update. Burn it on a disk and run the update through the BD30K like I did and it worked fine.

Big thread on this over at AVS. As HiDef said, update the firmware, and the problem should be fixed. There should be a link to downloading it on this thread.

I believe both need firmware updates to take care of the popping noise.
