Question Seeing 120Hz image

Okay, I've read a lot on this forum about the uncanny 3-D effect of the 120Hz and motion enhancer. Some say it's even TOO smooth. Well, I've been wanting to see it myself.

I managed to find one XBR4 in a Best Buy this weekend. The card did not say anything about 120Hz but those cards don't often have a lot of the important info on it. And I didn't ask any of the employees as they have not earned much of my trust in knowing what they're talking about.

The image was nice, I'll grant you, but no better than a lot of the others.

Should all XBR4s and XBR5s have the 120Hz? Or was I seeing a base-model perhaps? Also - it was not displaying a BD image - just showing the Best Buy advertisement loop. Does the image I'm expecting to see ONLY kick in with a true 1080p source perhaps?
