Default What just happened to Netflix?!?!

So their site was down the other day and back up yesterday. I logged in the check my que to find the standard long wait, very long wait on most of my top 20. No big suprise there. I log in today, and sudddenly almost my entire top 20 is "now" available. I am in shock and thinking that there has to be some kind of mistake here. Anyone else see the same thing happen in their que?

Darn, here I was hoping that they finally got a massive influx of Blu-ray resulting the lessening of the que, but it sounds like they just have more stock since they weren't shipping for a day.

And NOW - when I check my queue - there's no longer any indicator of whether the movie is Blu-ray or DVD. I'm wondering if they've switched them all over to DVD in preparation for a new Blu-ray plan that you would have to purchase instead. They mentioned that was coming, but I had hoped it was a while off.

Is anyone else seeing this on their queue as well?

Maybe it's related.

So you can still change your Blu-rays to DVD and vice-versa?

When I was first able to get back on the site, I couldn't see any of the rating stars. They were all gone. But that seems to have been fixed. I havnt' experienced the DVD display issue.

Yah, that's what I was referring to as well. I was just hoping that day had not yet come. Plus, I haven't received any notice about it. Nor could I find any mention of new Blu-ray pricing schemes on their site.

I am not seeing this problem. I still have Blu-rays in my queue.

They can't just change everyone's selections to DVD (instead of Blu-ray or HD-DVD) without FIRST notifying the customer. While they can change the terms of agreement, they can only do so after notifying you first.

It looks like the website software is changing pretty dramatically. I don't have anything set as Blu-ray... or at least it's not listed as Blu-ray at all.

Must just be a bug with certain servers hosting the site then.

These are the only column headings I currently have:
List Order Movie Title Watch Instantly Star Rating Genre Availability Remove

I'll check again tomorrow to make sure they're still set as BDs.

Mine doesn't seem to specify BD or DVD on my queue, but it does still say my account is set up for BD.

I just added a Blu-ray... and it added it to the queue.... but doesn't specify format. I'm wondering if you have Blu-ray selected they just assume you want it in Blu-ray if available.

Hmmm, that's a possibility. But if it's not available, would they then send the SD version? I guess we'll find out in the next few days.

That is my guess. Once I set my acct up for BDs, I never had to manually select it if it was available. However, I liked that I could scan my list for BDs vs DVDs. Sucks that it doesn't show it now.
