Dealing with friends that are incredibly stupid (NOT housemates or their friends)

Now, I am a teenage boy. I live an excellent life and have many friends. They often come over to my house to hang out. All of them, however, taunt me for liking blu-ray. Heck, one of them said his standerd defintion TV looked better than mine. Then they complain about grain, black bars, and they even moaned about seeing pores on the actors faces! I know there was a topic similar to this one, but it was dealing with a roomate's friend, not his or her own. All I want to know is what to do so I can so they won't be so ignorant (I know it's probaly not possible).
