With the new PS3 firmware update, will I need a receiver that decodes DTS-HD too? Thanks.

no. it works just like true hd

all u need is hdmi 1.1 receiver i.e. can handle multi channel lpcm (16 and 24 bit) over hdmi. no need for internal decoders for True HD or DTS HD MA. you can find some really good deals on these just make sure that the one you get can handle 1080p/24, 1080p/60 correctly.
