I thought I heard this movie was coming to blu-ray?!? does anyone know if it is or not??

im assuming you live in NA by this question.

The movie is not coming out on blu in NA, its only coming out in blu across seas, so to get it on blu, you have to import it.

if you have a problem with this, here is where you should complain.

because those are the two that dicked us NA people out of Todd on blu.

I assume that "NA" means North America and was it suppose to come out on blu-ray or were there never plans for that to happen???

it was never planned for blu ray because when this film was being prepared for release paramount was preparing it for hd dvd. then paramount went blu ray exclusive after hd dvd died out so they pulled the plug on it so now it is only out on dvd with a pending blu ray release

Unfortunately, you'll have to wait until Paramount starts releasing Blu-Rays.

Otherwise, you can import it in May.

Yeah, it's a Warner release in the UK, so you can order it from any of the British retailers -- same as Beowulf.

It's not going to be region-coded, as this is Warner, so it's there if you want it.

This website will help you find the best price, too.

Or you can wait for the reviews and see how you like the extras package -- the eventual US release might be better in that regard. Provided you care for such things...

Don't bother with the import. Paramount will release it in NA on BD sometime this year. No worries.

Any Paramount movie that is in the theaters now, will be released on Blu. That goes for Universal, and Dreamworks which is Paramount, too. The back titles, which includes Transformers, Sweeney, and Beowulf, will probably be released by July-August.

No. I was just saying it would be released this year. So it is written, so shall it be done.
As this is a DVD release and was originally slated for DUD, the BD version is coming.
