Would you buy Sweeney Todd on Blu-ray?

I just got done watching Sweeney Todd on DVD and maybe it is just me but it was alot more musical then I thought it would be. I know it was a musical but this isn't what I expected at all. The storyline was perfect for Tim Burton and Johnny Depp with the blood and gore side but I won't be buying this on blu-ray. Will you buy it when it finally comes out on blu-ray?

Can you believe all the make-up Johnny Depp was wearing? He has got to be a drag queen in real life.

I will NOT buy this movie because it is only on an oldray DVD. Eeeuuuuw.

not without seeing it first.. I like Depp, but I'm not that into musicals..
that doesn't mean I won't like it.. but certainly wouldn't part ways with $25 - $30 as a blind buy on it.

I haven't seen it but I'd probably pick it up. I generally like musicals and you rarely go wrong with Johnny Depp.

I bought it on DVD today and will, admittedly with some irritation, buy it again on BR when Dreamworks gets around to releasing it.

Yes I will definitely buy this on Blu-ray but have absolutely no intention on buying this on standard DVD because it would be a waste of money in my opinion. I can wait for the Blu-ray version.

I havent seen this movie yet but the day it drops on bd is the day ill pick it up. i knew what this movie was about and what to expect cause i read the play and watched the old musical in school. (that lady from murder she wrote is in it not that i cared but just for heads up )

Yeah, I really liked this movie. Johnny Depp was great in it.

And to think, I am not a fan of musicals at all.

Absolutely. It was a good movie with a bit too much musical, but entertaining and thats all the wife cares about for this movie...ohh! did i mention she love Depp more than me?! She wants it NQA EOS etc

This movie would look fantastic on Blu. My wife loves the movie so she had to get it on DVD today. But she was complaining how it looked compared to the Blu-ray's. I converted her!

Like most Burton films I thought it was visually stunning (it's going to look amazing on Blu-ray)! Every actor was perfect in their individual rolls and I loved the music. There was actually less music in the film than in the theater production.
However, like Transformers and a number of other films, I refuse to buy it now because I will not give Dreamworks, Paramount or Universal a single nickel of my money until it is released on Blu-ray. When that dam breaks I'm going to be so broke.
