Default The Old Days

You know, it still bothers me why HD DVD got DVD Forum support... I still remember the old days with AOD vs BD quite well...

With the majority of the CE companies being in the BDF... Was it bribery? I still remember we all thought HD DVD had no chance of getting DVD forum support because of all the pro BD companies.
It appears they are still involved with HD DVD. Does this mean Sony, Panasonic, etc all approved this?

I remember reading on AVS, Talkstr8t said that on AOD/HD DVD decisions BDA members sat out/boycotted the meetings. This was also backed up by Amir, I think.
