The makers of ICE AGE, and comedy giants Jim Carrey and Steve Carell, bring to life DR. SEUSS' beloved HORTON HEARS A WHO. Despite being ridiculed and threatened by his neighbors who think he has lost his mind, Horton is determined to save the particle...because "a person's a person no matter how small." Read More

I don't think so this time. It does not have Brian "White Bread" Grazer involved with this. The trailers for this actually look promising. It is all CGI and totally captures the look and feel of Suess. The real test wil be when it it released however...

I thought I caught the tail end of a commercial for this movie. Will have to see more, then probably buy on Blu-ray if good.

No, but it does have the lame Grinch-movie style of "Portraying Seuss Who's as sitcom-wisecracking metaphors for modern suburbanites". Seen it.

(Granted, not as obnoxiously as Grinch's "Cindy Lou as Lisa Simpson", but darn near close--As Hollywood's love/hate affair with Iconic Children's Books continues...)

Seen it. Great fun and brought tears to my eyes... from laughing so hard, which was only in one scene. But the entire movie was great. Bring your family and friends.

Some of the iconic lines by Horton is kept and so are the narrators voice. The tech achievement on the animation is astounding! If you have an inkling about CG animation, you'll know the scenes I'm talking about. Voice acting is spot on and so is the comedy.

The sound design is immersive! Prepare for a sub asskicking in many scenes. It'll also be a kick ass BD later this year!

I know right? Its like when Steve Carrell went from 40 year old virgin to freaking Evan Almighty..

I mean come on.. we know him for his raunchy funny as hell schtick.

Now hes a little blue guy? Come on.. Its just not believable.. hes only doing this for a paycheck.. which is disappointing..

So you're saying that actors should remain typecast throughout their careers?

Did that work against Bruce Willis in The Sixth Sense?
Did that work against Gary Oldman in Batman Begins?
Did that work against Angelina Jolie in A Mighty Heart?

I really liked it, but I thought it could do without the little Anime segment in the middle.
