Default Saw "The Music Man" on Cinemax HD and think it would be a great Blu release

I was startled by how sharp the high def detail was on "The Music Man" starring Robert Preston and Shirley Jones for the age of the film. I would love for WB to release this soon on Blu-ray, the high def version they showed a few days ago on Cinemax HD was terrific. (The only exception is that Cinemax fills the entire 16x9 screen and in doing so they cut off the sides of the image. I double-checked it against the standard DVD release and the true widescreen image on the standard DVD has lots more to see.)

Yeah. I orginally had this on DVD in Full Screen. And when the Buffalo Bills quartet was singing, you could only see a duet at any one time. Kinda silly. This is a movie that requires a wide screen presentation.

The vibrant color would definitely be great...don't know if I could watch this musical again after being in it though (I sang lead in the barbershop quartet...fun, but stressful).

Default Transformers HD In May

Looking forward to Transformers on HD Cinemax in May. Since I can't get it on blu, than this is the next best thing. I'll be recording it to my HD DVR so I can show it off to all my family and friends.. that is untill the Blu-Ray release finally drops. Other than the 16X9 1:85:1 ratio (full wide screen) I wonder what the noticable differences will be with the Cinemax HD Version and the Blu-Ray version, with the exception of the obvious 1080P and DTS-HD which is irrelevant to me since my TV will only broadcast 720P/1080i and my Denon receiver is only 6.1
