Interesting. I wonder whether you would see any PQ improvement.

Default Wow

I'm really excited about this... I hope the price is reasonable considering the lack of it actually producing a huge picture quality difference...
Just be nice to be able to play blus in cars for adults that have kids...

This would be great, and is the next step for Blu-Ray's takeover of DVD's. I know that there are a lot of parents out there who have adopted Blu-Ray but still buy DVD's so that they can keep their children entertained while traveling. It's not just about having Hi-def in the car, it's about not having to buy DVD's for the children.

Are the kids asking for better pq in the back lol maybe some dts hd-ma? or maybe dad and mom can ride in the back seat now lol thats it 2010 honda Odyssey pcm for mom dts hd-ma for dad and with the new kids drive system everyones happy lol come on the improvements in pq exc, dont add up who could even see out of the rear view with the tv size needed to see a difference the amount you'd spend putting in a decent upgrade im sure isnt as much as buying the kids the dvd version of the movie for the road lets say you wanna spend 2500 which divide by the current dvd price for movies around 16 = 156.25 / 52 weeks = 3 years of movies one a week for the price that would cost... I just cant see any case unless you dont drive and you have a shofer and almost live out of the car that you'd need it, I dunno thats just me but cracks right youd see better colors lol

I for one would just be happy if they started providing digital copy or some sort of method of duplicating the blu to standard DVD so that I can buy the movie once and not twice.

Are the kids asking for better PQ in the back seats? LOL, maybe some DTS-HD MA? Perhaps Mom and Dad can ride in the back seat now! That's it! The 2010 Honda Odyssey has PCM for Mom, DTS-HD MA for Dad and with the new 'Kids Drive System,' everyone's happy!

Come on, with the current PQ, it doesn't add up! Who could even see out of the rear view mirror with the TV size needed to see a difference? I'm sure the amount of money you'd spend putting in a decent upgrade isn't as much as just buying the kids the DVD version of the movie for the road.

Let's say you want to spend $2500 - which divided by the current DVD price for movies (around $16) - 156.25 / 52 weeks equals 3 years of movies, at one a week, for the price that would cost.

I just can't see any situation for this unless you don't drive, and you have a chauffeur -basically almost living out of the car. Then you'd need it. I dunno, though, that's just me - but crackinhedz is right, you'd see better colors, lol!
Phew. There you go. Translated into eengleesh.

it makes for a much better argument when you add in punctuation and formatting doesn't it?

its more of the fact that they can buy their hi def and not have to buy a dvd copy for their car...
which a digital copy in all blus would be great becuase you can dump it to an ipod, psp, or whatever and play that for the kids.... on the long trip...

Panasonic had a prototype flip-down BD player, but I need an in-dash one for my 350z. just what I need another screen.

I wonder whether the car bluray players will have auto-reverse and Dolby Noise Reduction, and will it be Dolby B, C or S?

My problem is...how would you get a BD Live service if you keep moving from place to place? WiFi would work but it'll only disconnect if you go rural and leave a hotspot. I don't think satalite broadband would work either as...the price is...rather steep. But still, it would be a good idea for an in car BD player to keep anyone in the back seat entertained, not to mention couple's who just rented Pirates on BD. I think you can see where this is going...
