You know what's funny?

The Terminator (MGM) and Terminator 2 (Lionsgate) are available only on BD while the third is 'currently' only on HD-DVD but will eventually make its way to BD from Warner.

This seems to be the case for the Hannibal Lector series too since Red Dragon is from Universal Studios while Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal are from MGM.

Go figure.

Manhunter (the original Red Dragon) is MGM. Features William Peterson (the CSI guy) as Will Graham and Brian Cox as Dr. Lecter. It's the first movie about Hannibal.

I nearly forgot about that as Anchor Bay had the distribution rights before MGM bought it.

Now that I've mentioned Anchor Bay, any idea if Anchor Bay is going to support either HD-DVD or Blu-Ray? Wouldn't mind seeing Halloween on Blu-Ray.

Neither currently, according to The Digital Bits

What I'd like to see is Criterion commit to Blu-ray. They were so important in LD days. It would be nice to see them commit earlier than they did with DVD.

I would love to see the Criterion Blade Runner disc on BD, that would be awesome.
