Will SR fill the bitrate to 50GB too?

I wish my copy of SR had PCM 5.1. Why couldn't Warner be smart enough to include it on the US release.

I like the lack of silver high-def branding on the SR boxart, I wish all the studios would drop it.

I don't mind the small curve at the bottom of Big Fish/Casino Royale but none at all would be better still.

I'll consider buying SR if they've improved the PQ significantly to go with the PCM 5.1.

Amazon UK orders - Superman Returns | Big Fish (another bargain!)

The US version didn't come with PCM 5.1. Only Dolby Digital 640kpbs I believe.

So has anyone received a copy of the UK "Superman Returns" yet? I had it on preorder at Amazon.co.uk, but they delayed it, since it apparently sold out due to PS3 owners or something. I would really appreciate if someone could confirm that it is actually using PCM 5.1.

The PCM 5.1 spec was bollocks. The UK version of Superman Returns DOES NOT have a PCM 5.1 soundtrack

I can't post a scan as my copy is still on its way in the post, but I just had a look at a copy of Superman Returns in a shop and the packaging definitely only mentions Dolby Digital 5.1 audio, no PCM.

Seriously, I have the disc and have played it. I can't find the 5.1 PCM soundtrack on it. Not mentioned on the sleeve, not on the disc.

This is also my first Warners BD and I have to say, I'm very disappointed at the presentation.

The Sony & Paramount discs I have look impressive. They boast that they are HD discs and display HD versions of their logos - Paramount looks especially impressive.

Also, this dics just takes you straight to the movie as opposed to displaying a menu screen with options first. Fox's Fantastic 4 does that too and it just bugs me. I want to choose what to do, especially with extras to choose from.

A Scanner Darkly's top menu is a joke. Horrible graphic design and you wouldn't believe how badly compressed it looks. Just a still, no moving picture.

Sounds like Warners need to put some more effort into their releases. I am disappointed so far.

Surely the "straight to the movie" is part of next gen DVD? You can call up the menu at any time.

I've no problems with this release, the image quality is utterly jaw dropping, and the sound is incredible too.

Where is Batman though!!! Come on WB, get these other titles out in Europe.

What a crock of shit. I'm glad I didn't import that from the UK.

Looks like I'm stuck without SR until they release a proper HD version of it with HD audio as well as HD video.
