Smile Q about Blade Runner :)

I was wondering, is Blade Runner worth owning? I have not seen it yet. I am a fan of Ford and i like Sci Fi...

Does this flik deserve a spot in my collection?

Thanks everyone!

The movie is slower paced than most newer movies. If that wouldn't bother you...then yes...it is a MUST own. It's a perfect example of how amazing older movies can look on Blu-ray. Not to mention one of my own personal favorite movies.

I second OWA and cathexist. Especially this blu-ray special edition.

In my opinion, i am a fan of Harrison Ford as well as a fan of Sci-Fi. I would definately recommend renting this first. I rented it on Netflix and i really thought it was super boring and was glad that I didnt blind buy it. I actually turned the movie off half way through. I know most out there seem to like it, but figured id drop my opinion of the other view..

Here are a few threads on it that go into a little more detail about why you should get it. One of them is asking for people to convince him it's worth buying. Just be careful since a lot of times people don't give warnings on spoilers.

In general though, they did a great job with the PQ/SQ and it's a sci-fi classic so you should definitely own it (the blu-ray version). Not to mention that it includes 5 versions of the movie.

the movie is more about some adult themes (discovering yourself, the value of life, being different ...) rather than violence like in newer SF movies, but it all appears in such a vivid futuristic world that it shouldn't bore you, the camera shots are so amazing that it's easy to get sucked in

Must have if you even remotely like Sci-Fi. The 5 disc box is a damn good deal too. Can be found for $20, which includes all 5 versions, and tons of extras.

Thumbs up Buy It !

Great PQ/AQ for a movie made in 82 ! Cult Classic. Yes, the pace is slow, but that is what makes it the classic it is !
