Who else things they should make a PS3 version of God Of War 2? - Blu-ray Forum

I know God Of War 3 is already being made for the PS3, jaffe said they started work on it months ago.

However, just like they did Tekken 5 DR, they should release a GOW2 upgraded to 1080p, and all in game videos changed to 1080p. A lot of super positive reactions happened with Tekken DR, and GOW2 - PS3 edition would REALLY help the PS3's image as a gaming platform at the moment. So basically, 2 releases, one for PS2, and one enhanced and HD for PS3. Would really do well.

I think it will have features to differentiate it from the normal ps2 release. Try and find the last two David Jaffe interviews. As far as I know they havent started god of war 3 yet.

My first concern is that hopefully they will put the PS2 God of War demo that is coming soon up at the Playstation store! That would be cool!

They are taking their time to gear up for a big EU launch, many games will come out around March/April time. The biggest being Devil May Cry 4, which I will buy straight away, along with a PS3.

Yah, the dry spell for the ps3 is pretty harsh at the moment. When the 360 launched, everyone was so ecstatic for having HD gaming, they were much more forgiving when it came to the really crappy launch titles. The only ones i own is Kameo and i stopped playing it 10% in, and Dead or Alive 4, which was a launch "window" game.

But to be honest, even tho the 360 had some pretty decent games up till now, Gears of War is its one saving title. If it didnt have Gears, things would be a LOT worse for the 360. I still play GOW constantly. All my other 360 titles collect dust.

Once the PS3 gets rolling however, it will have a LOT of top class titles. But the dry spell is really taking its toll on the ps3. The only bright side is that the Euro launch is going to be amazing for the PS3 with nothing but top notch titles, and it will eclipse the US in a heartbeat for sales of systems and games. US will bounce back, the 360 got its first bounce from its dry spell when Dead Rising came out, and so will the PS3. Except the PS3 has a CRAPLOAD of titles we know are coming and are looking forward to, where as for the 360, its just more FPS games and US based RPG's. I do want Blue Dragon, but the hype for it died down rather fast.

Anyway, i look forward to the new titles to be released. Virtua Tennis for PS3 is done by a completely different team from the one for 360/ps2 versions, and only the PS3 version is true full 1080p. It stole the tokyo game show as the most gorgeous game on the floor, i am sure we'll be hearing a lot about it once its released.

Saw an interview with the dev (he was drunk, lol), and he said they had some drawings of GoW 3. But they were still dev'ing GoW2 back then so... In a year maybe, or half a year, they'll anounce GoW3 for PS3

GOW II looks so utterly JAW DROPPING and its a friggin PS2 game. Unreal. Imagine once they do a PS3 game?!

I've read on a few messageboards that there will be enhancements to GOW2 if you play it on a PS3. 720p, hopefully? 1080p, even better

yeah, those new IGN videos of GoW2 are sick. I love the music too. Even though it's for PS2, I want GoW2 more than Heavenly Sword right now (plus, GoW is a proven product). Speaking of which, the 2 are going to be kind of competing as they're being released on the same day I think.
