Default The 605 and 360 connection.

Greetings all,

have done a couple of searches but cant seem to find anything specific to this... Apologies if it exists somewhere in the depths of a thread.

After having the 605 for a couple of weeks I'm now in a position to connect it all up, as I've just got my kef 2005.2s. I've got about 10 Blu Rays that have been sitting waiting to be watched once I had a decent set of speakers and an active sub... so I'm now ready to rock as of after work tonight..

I have no problems connecting the BD30 through HDMI, but am a little unsure as to connecting and assigning the 360 via component and optical.

I intend to connect the 360 component to Component 1 on the Onkyo (assign it to game/tv?), and have it pass to the TV via the HDMI OUT. Do I have to assign an output from the Component 1 side or will it automatically pass the component input to the HDMI OUT?

For the audio I want to connect using the OPT 1 connector. Do I have to assign this to Game/TV as well? Do I simply just have to assign the OPT 1 to Game/TV and then both audio and video will be available when I switch on the 360 and select game/tv.

Thanks for any help as I'd really like to get up and running tonight before the girlfriend starts to kick off.

Oh, I also have SKY + and was wondering if there is any advantage to putting this through the 605. I dont actually watch much normal TV, or Sky movies and my girlfriend isnt really bothered about sound formats for her Hollyoaks/eastenders/coronation St etc, but would prefer just to have to turn on the telly to watch her SKY without messing around with "Amps and stuff".

Thanks for any help

Billy
