Question about Uncharted's game cache - Blu-ray Forum

Hi all!

I know that the game data file which is stored in the game data folder on the ps3 contains the game's cache, right? But why isn't there a game data file for uncharted? There is only my save games on the ps3. Any answers?

Naughty Dog obviously found a method for HDD streaming without copying a huge chunk of data across for the whole game. They must copy as you're playing for the area ahead or something like that.

And the game has no downloadable patches.

Its possible the game removes the cache automatically once its not needed.

There are probably pros and cons to doing either and its best to see what each dev makes of it.
