Default Columbia House

FYI,

I joined CH before Blu Rays were standard in their library. It might be worth a second look. Last month they had a BOGO with free shipping. Picked up My Pan's Labyrinth and Kung Fu Hustle for $26. Not bad.

I cancelled mine last year when Paramount jumped ship, wasnt CH's fault but I gave that as my reason. " CH wasnt going to have the movies I wanted"
Cruel but its business

I don't think I ever will for Blu-rays. I used Columbia House for CDs, but that was it.

Agreed. Eventually they will p*** you off and/or screw you altogether.

A few years back I paid them about 20 bucks that I really didn't owe them just to get them out of my life forever.

The key with Columbia House is to take advantage of their constant specials. However, the selection isn't that impressive as of yet. Right now they have a promotion of Buy 2 Blus get 1 free.

Right now, I have the following Blus sitting in my shopping cart:
Spider Man 1
Spider Man 2
Spider Man 3
Oceans 11
Oceans 12
Oceans 13
5th Element
Pan's Labyrinth
Superbad
Twister
Kingdom of Heaven
I-Robot
I Am Legend
Troy
Harry Potter 1
Harry Potter 2
Harry Potter 3
Harry Potter 4
Harry Potter 5

The total will be $332.60. The average price per movie is $17.50.

Now is that bad?

I joined to take advantage of their specials as well. I normally use Amazon.com, but I keep an eye on Columbia House for specials and take advantage when they're available. They've had a few B2G1's and they recently expanded their selection. They don't have the largest selection, but they do run some good specials and you earn "Funcash" to use toward any other Blus.
