Any news on this?
(freely translated from Swedish newspaper): "...at CES 2008 Pioneer showed off a prototype plasma where the plasma cells do not 'leak light' in their inactive state - hence 'infinite blackness'... ... LG has picked up on this and is now introducing a proprietary technology achieving the same (infinite blackness) with no light leakage... ...LG says "this is true, our PG7000 that is scheduled for the market at the end of July has 'infinite blackness' with no leakage of light and therefore a resulting light reading of 0 candela from inactive plasma cells (to be compared with the 0.03 candela that our PG6000 will emitt)..."" Pioneers G9 screens are supposedly very good, but still not at 'infinite blackness' according to the same article. |
