Need Help- Ps3 frozen at start

My ps3 turns on normal and fine, and at the sony entertainment part it freezes and the music stops. its an 80g and i got it around christmas time, ive tried restarting it and all that and it just keeps freezing...any help would be great thanks

Didn't think there were 80GB PS3's on sale yet. So have you changed the Hard Drive?

You could try taking the hard drive out, de-formatting it and put it back in again. That will force the software to write to the disk again. Either that or phone Sony, h and if you say, I don't want to loose my save games, well you should have backed up now.

Have you tried a hard reset? Hold the power button for 5 seconds when turning it on until you hear a 2nd beep.

It's possible that may unstick whatever is wrong. If it's not, it's time to call Sony.

yeah it still hasn't worked...I'm not gonna touch the hard drive cuz I know ill mess it up...lol anyways I will be callin sony tonight...I also did try the 5 second one but it didn't even beep so something must be wrong...
