If I pre-order Transformers now, and the price drops like Cloverfield before it ships. Will I be charged the the original price or the new price?

You will be charged the lower price. Even if it did get shipped and then theprice went down, you have 30 days for price drops and they will match.

Everytime I have pre-ordered I have gotten the benefit of price reduction. Usually I see it on the pre-order a few days after the lower price first appears.
