Default ARGH!!! Amazon needs to hurry up with my blu's

Last week, well, I think it was a bit longer then a week my sis and I ordered some blu's as well as a couple regular disc from amazon. The next day my sis ordered a couple more disc from amazon. Seems as if Amazon has basicly been sending out one or two disc every other day or so! As far as I know, most of the disc we ordered where in stock and shipped from amazon.

I am still waiting on Prison Break Season one on blu, Roving Mars on blu and Origins: 14 billion years of cosmic evolution, dvd. Figures, all my sisters disc came in all ready and now I get to wait the weekend out with no blu

I guess on the bright side, I set up my DVR to record the Phoenix mission to Mars this Sunday in HD... hope I don't forget to leave the blasted thing on to record since I am going to be at work.

Sorry, had to vent a little bit

I seem to be averaging at LEAST one order per month from Amazon. If it's not Blu-rays (which it is most of the time), then it is books.

I pre-ordered National Treasure I & II and they shipped on Monday and arrived at my house on Friday. My order last month arrived within two days of shipping. And, I DO NOT have AMAZON PRIME, I just use the standard FREE shipping. I figure with movies or books why worry about the rush?

I have noticed the same thing with Amazon lately. I ordered a CD Sunday night that was in stock, and it finally left Amazon's warehouse Thursday. My guess is that they are starting to hold onto the free shipping items to put more of a priority on the orders that pay for shipping. Maybe to encourage people to spend the extra on shipping. I don't know, my opinion though. Interesting that it's not just me though. Thanks.

I hate to be the one to break this to you, but your DVR will turn itself on if you have it programmed to record a show. Even 25 years ago my VCR turned itself on to record a show that it was pre-programmed to record.

If your DVR needs to be left on in order to record a show then either your DVR is defective or it's use error. Either way, I would look into that if I were you.

Nice!
Im still new to this DVR thing... probably should read the manual. I suspected it would turn it self on and record if the thing was shut off, but as I said, have not really looked through the manual or even played around with this thing much.

Thanks for the tip

Not really about the rush, im just a bit confused why they just did not shove everything into one box if it was shipping from Amazon themselfs and everything was in stock at the time.

I guess they have a large warehouse and probably just send stuff out as they find it. Oh well... I got to work the next few days anyway, not like I would have time to watch them. Err, on second thought, I would probably end up staying up all night watching em

I've noticed a slow down in things leaving Amazon's wearhouse too. I started ordering from Amazon a couple of months ago, I don't have Prime, so use the standard FREE shipping, and it's taken them a long time to get things out of their wearhouse this last month. It takes longer for them to ship it than it does to travel in the mail. Kind of a bummer because the first few times I ordered they had it shipped within a day or two. I guess I'm patient tho, because I know I'm getting them eventually, and I'm saving some money over buying them at Wal Mart or Target.

the free shipping is hit or miss for me in terms of how fast my order arrives. Sometimes it's just two days - but other times it's 7-8 business days until I receive it (in this case it takes about 3 business days to leave the warehouse).

Amazon has a few different warehouses that they ship from, which is why some stuff ships separately or at different time.

Well, amazon and USPS did pull through (not that there was much of a doubt with either one) and I finally got my discs in today. *whew* that was a long wait
