Default WB Store shipping?

If I pre-order a movie will it get to me on release day? If not what is the average time for anyone who has purchased from them before?

What shipping did you get? Was the order over $50 and eligible for free shipping?

If it is the latter, then you should receive the movie on release day as warner overnights those orders. Even if your $50+ order is for different release days, warner overnights each seperately at no additional cost.

Either you are kidding, or Warner is Triple A in customer service.

Wow... I just placed my order, and now I am even more pleased...

WB (as a company) sounds and looks awesome so far.

Wow, I've been getting mine from amazon thinking that's the only way to get it on release day.

What if I just spend $20 what's the situation then?

Very true. I have been ordering a lot from them for a long time. Their only down fall is if you want to change an order, or cx an item. Then they tend to "drop the ball".

So does the whole balance charge at once or does it charge me as they ship?

It sounds like maybe Warner's shipping department has gotten better. A few months ago they were the last place you would want to order from unless you just didn't care when your movies showed up. It was really bad around the time that the Kubrick films, and the Harry Potters were released. It was taking weeks to get stuff. After that I have avoided them like the plague. There's an old thread here somewhere regarding that.

Hopefully they are better now. Their prices are hard to beat.

My CC was charged(Or at least it has been deducted from my checking availability) for a release in August.

from all the anecdotes lately I think WB has increased their CS enormously. Went ahead and got the dirty harry set and Twister with the 30% off code.

It charges only when each item ships.

They generally charge only for what has shipped, but they tend to bounce the charge into and out of your account quite often. The charge will only go through once they have shipped the item, sometimes after you've already received it.

If you like email notifications for when an item has shipped, then I wish you the best of luck, I received the notification that V for Vendetta shipped on the thursday after the release date, which was after I had watched the movie, twice.

If you are under the $50 free shipping limit, then you will have to pay for whatever type of shipping you want. All my orders have been over $50, so I can't say for sure, but I imagine they wouldn't be overnighted, perhaps second-day ground.

At over 100 Blu's ordered from Warner (some 2 of the same), I have never been charged before they ship. Usually any business that runs a check on your CC (which most do) when placing an order, will cause your bank to put a temp hold on that amount for about 5 to 7 business days and then release again.

if you absolutely have to have it on release day do not order from warner. i have ordered quite a few blurays from them and service is mixed. but you can get great prices with the coupon codes. they do seem to have improved their shipping times. now its no longer weeks after the release date, but with a few days, or could even show up the day of, or a day or 2 early.

From what I understand, the issues that they had in the fall, when some pre-orders would not be received until weeks after release date, have been resolved. That being said, there are online retailers like DVDPacific which will ship movies prior to release date, sometimes weeks early, if you are willing to pay slightly more than amazon or warner bros.

I have two outstanding orders with warner home video and have received the first of those titles on release date.
