Default Warner Store Shipping BD Movies Early

I know that there have been numerous problems with Warner's HD online store. However, I had a great experience with them. I took advantage of the Buy 2 Get 1 Free Deal. Warner shipped my "free" movie first (because the other two were on pre-order), and my credit card was not charged at all. Next, I recieved I Am Legend on Monday, one day before the release day. To conclude, I got Bonnie and Clyde yesterday, and the movie is not released until Tuesday. Very happy indeed.

Yeah, I got B&C last Monday as part of a B2G1 shipment. I guess they didn't want to split it or wait to ship it out. It was pretty sweet.

I might order from them in the future again. For one, they won't penalize themselves for releasing early. The buy 2 Get 1 Free turned out to be a great deal. But, I could have purchased I AM Legend from Amazon for $18.95. Take the good with the bad.

Isn't it amazing. Other stores are scared like little girls of breaking release date embargo, and Warner do it again and again.

Any store can ship it in the window where it's reasonable to expect it'll arrive on release day

Well, I shouldn't complain, I suppose.

They were over 1 month late delivering my movies, so I canceled my orders. Then they showed up after nearly another month. Since I had copied their website saying they were canceled, and reminded them that my state has a law which states I don't have to pay for unsolicited goods, I got them all free. At first they wanted me to ship them back at my own expense, then said they would "reimburse me" but I replied, "Kindly send me a pre-paid box, and I will gladly do so."

After that, they just said, "Keep them."

I got nearly $200 in merchandise for free, including the Harry Potter Boxed set and Bladerunner.

I'll never order from them again, though.

I had very good luck with them. Early I Am Legend, and quick delivery on my other titles.

It's actually a federal FTC law. It states that anything send to you that you did not order, you can consider a gift.

This law was written because companies used to send items to tpeople without ordering and tried to charge them for the items. Since the law went into effect, they can't do this anymore.

I once had a $600 Canon digital camera sent to me and when they tried to get it back from me, I reminded them of this law and never heard back from them. This was about 18 months ago now. This is the best camera I ever had.
