worth a look is the final verditct? thats ridiculous.

its a great movie, with great PQ and great AQ, thats worth of a reccomended right there.

i guess since it doesn't have a buy a teddy bear online feature along with a little video game tact on, it gets major downgrades. this is ridiculous.

I never saw this but now I do. That happens a lot. I won't have any interest in a movie til it's out on Blu. But the reason I didn't want to see this was because after Training Day, Denzel was completely typecasted and since then has lost some of his versatility. I hope he can get that back with a different type of movie. He was supposed to do Hannibal, you know the kickass genius general?

I think maybe his big complaint is it is a bare-bones release with no featurettes, extras or supplements whatsoever. I don't think he is referring to any Hi-Def specific supplements. I think the review should be higher in the end, but if you are a fan, it is disappointing to not have ANY featurettes, or behind-the-scenes items, especially when the DVD had them.

I know right this is an amazing movie I searched 25 bestbuys and none had it in stock getting ready to just call it a day and buy it on amazon.

im sorry, but these guys seem to think that featurrets are as crucial to a great blu-ray as the actual quality of the movie itself.

Yeah, I was surprised by the "Worth a Look" rating when he had the movie rated 5/5 and the PQ/SQ 4.5/4.5. Doesn't make sense to me.

Yeah, I had to order mine from Amazon since I couldn't find it locally. I had it sent overnight b/c I was anxious to see it. It was great (watched it last night)!

I have the film at home and was able to watch the 1st 30 minutes and was floored by the pq and aq. Definitely reference quality and one of the best films I have ever seen in my opinion. I had the pleasure of seeing it in the theaters and was not disappointed.

Denzel typecast after Training Day? I guess you haven't seen John Q, The Great Debaters, Antwone Fischer, Manchurian Candidate, Inside Man to name a few. All these were after Training Day.

Apart from American Gangster, he's not a hardcore thug in any of his movies like he was in Training Day.

It's a Fox catalog title, which means retailers were in no rush to get it by street date, so they paid for the cheaper (slower) shipping.

Most stores will probably get them today or tomorrow.

It should only get "worth a look". We as Blu-ray buyers should want more than movie studios are giving us for what we pay for them. When I read that review I already knew the movie was 5 stars because I've seen it before. Then I saw the video and audio was both 4 1/2 stars which immediately tells me I should buy it. Even though he says it's only "worth a look" I'll still buy it. He's justified in his "worth a look" Bottom Line because it's BS how we don't at the very least get the same extras that the previous DVD's have. We should expect more.
