Default Tiger Woods: "I dont really care..... I dont think anyone watches hockey anymore"

Tiger Woods might be the most dominating golfer in the history of the game, but I also dont think that he has the right to diss a sport that he probably does not care and understand.

Millions of people watch, play, grow up with hockey, just as much as many for Golf as well.

Now, I am not going to say Golf is not a sport, because I think it is and I play golf. It is a sport of individual talents, such as Tennis; whereas, hockey is a team sports, much like the basketball. Surely, rules of the games are different, but the fundamentals of team spirit and ideas are the same.

I dont know, I used to enjoy watching news of Tiger reaching new heights, but I am sort of disgusted by this news. Yes, he is probably the best golfer, but so what? That doesnt give him the right to act like a billionaire brat. Be a real sportsman, will ya?!

I'm a hockey, and golf fan...... and Tiger should shut the F up. That's like Mike Tyson saying "So tiger can hit a little ball.... I can knock his A$$ out"

neither one has anything to do with the other.

Perhaps, former hockey player and PGA Tour star, Jerry Kelly will take issue with Tiger at the U.S. Open.

sadly, the only way I could think of to really diss him back is for a hockey player to beat him in a tournament. But then again, its probably .... almost... impossible.

Golf, for me, is a nice deal-making ground.

Hockey is a small time sport with a small fan base. You cannot argue that.

I would guess more people pay attention to Golf than the NHL. IMO the NHL is a terriblely run group. Horrible really.

As for tiger. He can have his own opinion. I dont care what comes out of his mouth.

I for one as a professional slacker don't think anybody cares about golf! I think they should pull it off of network TV and cancel any endorsement contracts with golf pros. It's over for the PGA.

Golf is the "sport" that athletes play after they are too old for their primary sport.

You can have whatever opinion you want there chum.

But where I come from Hockey is not a small time sport, so you might as well slap and "IMO" on that particular point as well.

Because, Like your own opinion of Tiger, I don't care what comes out of your mouth.

If Tiger Woods said that, then he is living in a box. I had the honor a couple of months ago to be invited to a Hockey game. I used to watch the Rangers with my sister when I was a kid, so the fact it was a Ranger vs Islanders game made it that much more appealing. I don't follow Hockey but I had some affection for the Rangers for my childhood experience.

Back to Tigerwoods being in a box. Tiger, there wasn't a SINGLE black person in the entire arena! I saw one guy who was sort of dark and he may have been a Hispanic Arab mix. I couldn't tell. I mean, this was Madison Square Garden in New York City and not a black person to be found! To Tiger Woods no one watches hockey any more because he doesn't know a single black person who does.

Had this discussion before, I don't think I know a single black person who watches Hockey. Is it because it sounds too much like Honkey?

Not that expensive to play hockey, I know a lot of people that play street hockey with cheap roller blades, a cheap stick, and a net. They don't need all the pads to learn to play, and once they know the game, and end up at a school that offers it, all they need to do is learn to go from roller blades to ice skates. But I completely agree, just because he is good at one sport and doesn't watch it make him an expert. If Gretsky came out and said the same thing, then maybe it would be worth paying attention to, but Woods? Yeah....

Tiger is famous for his tantrums on the golf course. I know I've seen it first hand. He's just a spoiled person, who I thought had grown up over the past few years. Apparently, I was wrong.

But, this is good news for me, as I'll feel no trepidation for now selling my Tiger Woods '08 PS3 game!
