Predator Ultimate Hunter Edition

I was thinking about buying this release, but I've read quite a few bad reviews concerning the picture quality & DNR.
I've also read that the previous Blu-ray release is better than the 'Ultimate Hunter Edition'. So which is the previous release, what year?
I saw the Predator 2-disc DVD on sale at my local library ($4.00) & it has lots of extras. Does the previous released Blu-ray have the same extras?

Unless you upgraded to 4K UHD, the mediocre 2008 release is the best you can do, but I believe it has no extras, maybe a trailer. Every new release is the Ultimate Hunter Edition without exception I'm pretty sure, which does have the extras. Honestly, the dvd is probably better than the UHE.

1. This is definitely already a thread.
2. This is the one people are talking about, it's barebones with no extras.
3. If you want the best PQ get the 4K, it's the most untampered version yet.
4. There's also this which is the BD counterpart to the 4K, but it may not have the 4K print. IDK I haven't been following it too closely

Would like to hear anyone chime in to confirm whether or not the Blu-ray in the new 4K release does or does not include a new transfer. My guess is the disc is the same ol' UHE.

I've been buying a few 4K as a future-proof, but not these catalog titles with old discs for Blu-ray.

It's the same transfer from the UHE. Nothing new, except packaging, and movie cash.

I don't have the equipment for, nor have a care to waste money on this 4K craze that's going on right now; thanks for the helpful (some not so much) responses.
Too bad the older blu-ray doesn't have the extras, but I still my get it if I can find it at a reasonably low price; for now, I'm going to get the 2-disc DVD set I saw at my local library.
Hopefully a much better transfer w/the extras will come out someday ... but I doubt it.
