Default Best Monitor Upgrade?

Hi all, I just bought a BD-Rom drive from Sony, and need your opinions. My computer runs everything fine, the picture looks pretty good. I am running on a 19" HD LCD Monitor in 1440x900 resolution.

I played The Punisher on regular DVD and Blu-Ray, and I can notice a difference... but nothing major. Now I know that I need 1920x1200 for "true" resolution. But here is my question.

Would it be worth paying the $400 now to buy a 22" with the 1920x1200 resolution, or would the improvement not be THAT much better, and I should just wait until I am ready to go all out with a 37"er or the like?

I plan to get a big screen and mount it on my wall, and use it as my monitor/blu-ray all-in-one deal. But of course, I need to wait a bit for the money. But if the upgrade from 19" to 22" would be a huge improvement, I'll get it now and enjoy myself until I get that big screen upgrade.

Thanks everyone, look forward to joining in your community

And on a similiar, but different note... is it worth upgrading to PowerDVD 8 Ultra or WinDVD 9 from my PowerDVD 7.3 OEM? Just curious....
