Default Yamaha NS-325 Series

Anybody have these and if so care to comment? Specifically the NS-325F, the NS-325C and the NS-325M. Floorstanding, Center and Surrounds respectively. Thanx.

Hmmm. Ok, any Yamaha speaker (of any series) owners care to comment on their setup. Thanx.

I had had a pair of yamaha floor standing speakers, don't remember what model 2 6.5" woofers, midrange and tweeter. They were not built particularly well. Cabinet was very light weight particle board, not MDF as it should have been. Had the matching center, it had an adjustable tweeter output(knob on back) it was okay, nothing special.

I also had a pair of the ns-a325's I believe, small 3.5" woofer, 1" tweeter, polycarbonate case. These were actually nice speakers, better built than the others.

I replaced all of them with NHT speakers that sounded much better(superZero, SuperOne, SuperTwo).

Best speakers Yamaha has made are the NS-1000, NS-500, NS-10 and the extremely rare NS - 10,000. They just dove back into the high end with a new series. All of the rest of them are basiclly consumer based stuff.

I have a pair of NS-10M Studio speakers for stereo listening to SACDs at the office, and they sound great. Don't know about the new stuff first hand - but the Saevo line looks interesting.

That's the one! Saevo - its not quite the NS-10 - 10,000 family but they are designed like beast. Good start for Yamaha to get back into the high-end in speaker manufacturing. If they would only go back to berriliyum drivers like they used in the NS-1000's and 500's (10,000's also had berriliyum).
