Default yamaha RX-V565 or 65 Series

Hi

I have just had my Yamaha 565 receive get the new firmware software update and everything now works fine but when i turn the receiver off the red standby light doesn't come on.

I have looked through the manual and on the front panel display it doesn't mention anything standby.

Mine sometimes goes off or stays on but it doesn't bother me, as long as standby still works. I don't think mine can upgrade to latest firmware.

Edit: Forgot to say, did you enable standby mode? It's in setup > Function setup > HDMI > Standby

Yes you can get the firmware update it is from the 465 to 765 in Australia and the 365 to 765 in the US and it doesn't bother me it's just that i had someone do my setup for me and when i got firmware done everything had changed.

Default standby

I think you have to set HDMI Through to 'ON'
and set HDMI control to 'OFF'
but I don't like it ,I set it light off when in mode 'Standby'

On my RX-V465 the only light that comes on when receiver is off is the HDMI through light.I haven't updated firmware at all and have had it for over a year.I just ordered a RX-V665 and will post what lights up on that when off soon.

you have to be using the "passthrough" function for the light to come on. i currently have this set to "off" so when my rx v765 is powered off, no standby light is on...
