Default surround speaker recomendations

I am in the market for some surround speakers for my sony str-dg820 that should be coming within a couple weeks. I am trying to get the best for the lowest price... any ideas??? I was thinkning about getting the bose bookshelf speakers and putting them back there but then i read the bose article and now i dont want bose... help.....

are you going from 5.1 to 7.1 or adding surrounds for the first time? I'd see if there are any dipoles within your budget.

Price range? Current Speakers? for 5.1 or 7.1? All the above would be useful in determining what would be best.

new setup , i have sony floor speakers and a sony center channel. I really am looking for cheap but good. the bose ones i was looking at were only 160 for a pair, and i would like to stay in that range
