And after I dropped $14 on that crappy Mill Creek double pack with Marie Antoinette. I assume Sony will also be reissuing that film as well, with the same ancient master (Little Women looks good though).

Awesome news!

I have the BDR edition, but now I'll want to upgrade!!! The original BD-R release has a great picture and audio quality, but just knowing it's a BD-R, it's a little jarring.

Makes me wonder if Marie Antoinette will also get a pressed disc from Sony now, although there's less incentive to do that compared to LW.

I'd assume they only did it as a tie in for the new 2019 version... Sony hasn't re-released of their BD-Rs as pressed discs, and only 6 have been released by other studios (Gas Food Lodging by Arrow... I Spy, Little Women/Marie Antoinette, Metropolis, and Neighbors by Mill Creek). There's a few BD-Rs I'd like to get if they re-released them pressed but I'm not holding my breath lol

There's also Karate Kid Part 3 in a Mill Creek double pack (with much lesser picture quality) with The Next Karate Kid. Also, Body Double has a region free release from Indicator.

MA has a very slight, but noticeable sync issue. That was my biggest issue with the disc, along with lossy audio and none of the bonus features.

Definitely Criterion. There isn't enough Sofia in the Collection and "Marie Antoinette" is a movie that feels on the verge of being rediscovered as one of the undervalued masterpieces of last decade, ala "The New World".

Dang, 4K remaster but no 4K physical release. Anyway, I'm still excited we're getting a pressed disc for this release.
