Talking We need to petition Warner too!

Man that's pathetic... anyway, we can be angry too! Here's the suggested petition, modified for Blu-Ray... we need action!!!

Contact Warner Now!!

I suggest that you keep it nice:
1) We love the company and appreciate the support they have given Blu-Ray
2) We love buying their movies
3) We are happy to learn that they are not releasing certain "key" release titles because Bluray version with bd-j is not yet ready, as we would want to see any blu-ray title realize it's full potential - and we understand how this could hurt the HD DVD format. Keep it up.
4) Please release these titles on Blu-Ray when the players are ready for them and when HD-DVD interest has dried up and blown away
5) When "advanced profile" Bluray players are ready, Warner will see how useless the HD-DVD format is in comparisom anyway
6) The HD DVD format needs their support today, badly, as blu-ray is outstripping it in every way without the "advanced" features of HD-DVD. So, why not save the money for making the less popualr HD-DVD version and put it to releasing more movies on blu-ray.

Here's where to contact them, hit all three:

IF YOU get an ERROR page on either of the forms, just hit the "Retry" button on your browser.

Customer Service Form - http://www2.warnerbros.com/web/main...mer_service.jsp
Choose "DVD / Video" from the pulldown menu.

Fan Mail Form - http://www2.warnerbros.com/web/main/help/fan_mail.jsp
Enter "Blu-Ray" as the name of your favourite star.

Email Address - customerservice@wb.com

Late in the thread he is more reasonable.

BD fans don't care enough about IME for it to delay releases. So, Warner should release the titles now without IME and do the IME on BD when it feels comfortable.

Warner is holding up titles for no good reason at all.

I take it back. He then posts this NON-PUBLIC poll

Should Warner release the big hits now or wait for BDJ?
  • YES! Release to both formats, even if BD-Video interactive is not ready
  • Yes and No! Release HD DVDs that are ready, but I want BD-Video interactive on my BD
  • NO! Hold back those darned HD DVDs until Bluray is good and ready
  • I think that the advanced BD-J stuff is not an issue and this poll is a lie!

A choice for the HD DVD fanboys to clutter the results. We are supposed to believe that all people choosing that choice are BD only and demanding BD-J interactivity?!

This is more proof positive to a theory I've had for at least the past year in regards to some of these people:

I'm convinced that some of these people are writing from either a jail or a nuthouse during the free hour of "free time" that the inmates get if they've been on 'good behavior."

rdjam, oshodi, DeadmeatGA, Julie...ultra crazy zealots like that.

I'm convinced of it: Jail or nuthouse.

It's amazing how many reformed "format neutral" people there are these days isn't it?

If LAGOSIAN is reformed, then rehab doesn't work properly .

Completely agreed

Paramount's claim at CES of MI3(sans interactive commentary)being the best-selling BD title of 2006 appears to support this. And with Warner claiming that Superman Returns was *also* the best-selling BD title of 2006... , I don't think their BD sales would've been any weaker if it lacked any IME features the HD DVD might have had...

While there have been numerous "There! Don't say I never say anything good about BD" posts from Amir, I don't recall ever seeing a "There! Don't say I never critique X's posts" posts.

That is: Tacit approval.

I think its a quid pro quo (or whatever it's spelt as).

The 'Xs' never bring up his mis-information from the past and defend him/deflect the topic when others do.

In return, a high-up insider provides implicit support for the posts of the Xs. I reckon it is empowering for the Xs to feel such a heavy-hitter siding with them.
