great interview, clint eastwood is a icon hands down, and spike lee should shut his mouth, he is just jealous that he is nowhere near the talent of the great clint, ya maybe eastwood should throw in a token black guy to appease the likes of a moron like spike lee, when historically it would be inaccurate as clint said, spike lee shut up and go try to make a good movie instead of calling out an icon for being a racist, cause in so many words thats what he's implying

No. The reason racial tensions even come up are because the Spike Lee/Jesse Jacksons of the world won't let it die. Constantly looking for a reason to point that out. How many of you, white or black or whatever, honestly watched it and thought "omg, there were no black guys"? No normal people worry about that. Why can Spike Lee demand more black people in movies? I want more unbiased views of white people in Spike Lee movies. Thats the same thing he does, but I'd be called racist for demanding it. I don't mean this as any kind of racial bash, that kind of stuff just seriously gets annoying.

I've loved Clint's westerns since I was a kid. And it's awesome he stays sticking to his guns on all his views. We need more people in the world like that.

Racial tensions exist to the degree they do because racial power brokers want to remain relevant. The Jesse Jacksons, Al Sharptons, David Dukes, and myriad others continually open wounds because that's the only time anyone listens to them. So ironic that they always promote "healing". Hiding in plain sight.
I'm not a conspiracy theorist by any means, but I've come to realize organized religion (I myself think there is a God, and he said NOT to institutionalize faith), class, and race are tools used to keep the people at each others' throats. Keep us divided and we can never prosper without approval. Spike Lee is and always has been this kind of tool.
