Default I really like "Blast Factor" but.....

The one thing I don't like about it (pretty much the ONLY thing I don't like about it so far) is that I can't save my progress and pick up again where I am later.

So if I beat the first four levels or whatever, and then get killed and have to leave, I can't come back and start on level 5.

It'll show me my progress, but I don't see the option to save the game and resume it later.

That SUCKS big time.

I hate having to start ALLLLLL over and redo all the stuff I already did to get back to where I WAS.

Yes, Super Stardust is better. I like both of these though.

Is there a way to save progress on BF?

Correction: Super Stardust HD is the best dual stick shooter.

I like to contribute. lol

With no save or resume function, this DESTROYS re-playability for me. Who wants to have to sit through replaying everything to get back to where you were? That sucks.

For anyone else who has this game? Do you ever play it anymore considering you can't resume a game?

I played it the first day I got it, realized that even though I head beaten 5 levels everytime I started again I'd have to start back @ level 1 instead of picking up with #6.

Such bullsh**!

Until they release a patch I don't think I'll be playing this much.

Uh, the idea is that you have to clear every cell (Easy/Medium/Hard) eventually. I think you get a trophy for it.

Saving progress sort of defeats the difficulty behind that.

Is it annoying? Sure, I guess. But it's not like it takes an eternity to clear each level (unless you're not good at the game).

I've gotten 4 of the trophies so far.

I just think it's just incredibly stupid to not have a save data thing on there.

Can you name another game out there that has ZERO save points in it that you just start over from scratch no matter how far you've gotten?

I can't. I'm sure there might be one, but still.

I say once you beat the easy/medium/hard for a level there should be a save point and when you come back to the game you can pick up @ the beginning of the following level.

Super Stardust doesnt have a game save either. It does have checkpoints so if you clear a world, the next time you go in the next world is unlocked and you can start at the next planet, but the score starts at Zero, but stopping and resuming is a no no for SSHD. Some games if you are good enough can last many hours if you are good enough on normal, because at the end it starts all over on the first level on a harder difficulty. I could only muster up 145 MIllion on the game, I havent gone for higher since that game I play the other variations more often. That bomber trophy is a pain in the butt. Collect 15 bombs. That took me a year to get.

Well that's what I mean though. In Blast Factor after you defeat Specimen 1 (and get the trophy) there should be a save point.

One at the end of every specimen.
