Question Is this a good receiver....

For a home theatre newbie? I want a fairly cheap HD-Receiver and I found this at Amazon. I rpesume Yamaha are a good brand for sound and this decodes all the HD formats as well as upconverts for a good price. Is it because it sucks? Help appreciated, thanks.

looks like it'd do the trick to me..... what player are you using?

per the description

supports the two lossy formats--Dolby Digital Plus and DTS HD High Resolution--as well as lossless formats such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio.

that company (fullfillment by amazon too) has a TON of positive feedback... so it looks legit to me.
